A sprained wrist is one of the Afflictions that can affect the player in The Long Dark. It can be obtained in a number of ways: Falling from a great height, or occasionally, through being attacked by Wolves or a Bear.
Effect
Sprained wrists do not lower Condition, but the player will be unable to hold any weapon or climb Mountaineering Ropes until it is treated.
Treatment
To treat a sprained wrist, the player can take medicine, either two Painkillers or a cup of Rose Hip Tea, or rest for two hours. Only one of these needs to be fulfilled and the condition goes away immediately.
